About Me
Hi there! My name is Ellie and I’m the baker behind Ellie Bakes. Baking is a long found passion of mine and I would love to continue baking for the rest of my life. When Covid-19 hit in 2020, I was unsure of what to do with my time, and eventually stumbled upon baking. One could say it was true love, and I have been baking ever since.
My Story
I began baking with my grandmother when I was very young. My motto was, “let her bake stuff, I’ll ‘help’ and then I’ll help you out by licking the spoon, Nana!”. Since then, I have grown, both in age and in my baking skills, and I could not be happier with the things I have achieved in the baking world.
2020
My baking journey truly began during the initial 2020 coronavirus lock down (shocking, right?), and has taken off since then. I began making chocolate chip cookies and box mixes from walmart and costco, but within a few months I began creating my own recipes, and since then, my love for baking has just kept growing.
Now
Two years after the original COVID-19 lock down, I am still baking, more than ever. Baking is my first love, and I plan to continue forever, and own my own bakery storefront one day in the future.
